Music Saves My Soul!
- 20 May 2012

Often in my life I've had a piece of music attached to a certain memory of an event, or a particular feeling or emotion. It is the drive and passion of most musicians as well, you can tell by the way they react on the stage. I've watched live performances of The Barley Mob, Neon Wolf, Crow Black Chicken, Amber Jean, Aslan, Paul Brady (not live but worthy of the mention) just to name a few, and those were all unkown artists to me being from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. And those artists touched me in some way or another. Some were able to awaken me from depression, to help me fall in love, to make me laugh and dance with joy or to go through a heartbreak. I am passionate about music, and It is this love that drives to write here, to contact musicians, festivals, venues and every single person I can reach to help make music known and thrive. To give an opportunity to an amazing band or artist that is yet to get their stage. I love it so much I have it tattoed on my skin.
I want this to be your stage, your space to show the world what you can do! Why your music should be heard and touch someone elses life.
If you are a music promoter, or manage a venue and you have a stage, no matter how small, drop a line to the artists featured here, hear their music, give them a chance.
I love Ireland and the songs it brought to my life, I cannot imagine how it would be without it. This site was born from the love between 2 people and music and although the love between those people is gone the love for music remains. The website is going to grow considerably the next few months as I have been working hard on getting more supporters and develop more resources at every minute I have to spare and Pat with his wonderful work on the Facebook page, sharing the gigs and posting songs. I hope that you there reading this will be a part of it too. Share the Love!
If you got your stage and you can afford to give a way a pair of tickets This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Study shows love for music relates to brain chemical
It would make sense that people listen to music for the sheer pleasure of it, right? That's what we thought, but apparently there's a scientific reason for this. Scientists have discovered that when Earthlings listen to pleasurable music, one particular chemical is loosed in the gord. The study, conducted by Robert Zatorre and Valorie Salimpoor of McGill University in Montreal, concluded that when the participants tuned into instrumental pieces they were familiar with, their brains released dopamine into the striatum -- an area of the noggin linked with anticipation and predictions.
To always keep hope, to laugh, to cry, put joy in your life, listen, just listen:
And to all healing their hearts:
Thanks for listening! Much love and music always, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
